Hunter Introduces HawkEye™ High-Definition Digital Imaging Wheel Alignment Systems

Hunter Engineering’s new HawkEye™ alignment systems combine the time and space-saving features of WinAlign® software and new HS401 HawkEye high-definition digital imaging sensors to provide precise, high-speed alignment service and greater productivity, while taking up a minimum amount of shop space.

HS401 HawkEye sensors use high-resolution digital cameras and newly designed wheel targets to optimize alignment service. Using digital camera sensors to monitor passive wheel targets allows the HawkEye system to gather vehicle measurements in less than two minutes with Hunter’s rolling compensation and Faster Caster® software features. All adjustments are updated instantaneously, as the patented HawkEye four-camera system continuously monitors wheel target position and orientation.

The new wheel targets also improve productivity, while maintaining the durability to stand up to the shop environment. The smaller and lighter design makes the targets easier to handle and work around when making adjustments, saving time and effort. An impact-resistant housing and integrated bumpers protect against damage from accidental drops, along with a shatterproof aluminum faceplate that is corrosion resistant and virtually maintenance-free. The targets contain no electronics and require no calibration.

Along with the timesaving benefits, HawkEye sensors also offer space-saving advantages to accommodate shops with limited floor area. The high-resolution digital imaging technology and high-definition wheel targets produce an enhanced field of view, which reduces the distance required from the front turnplates to the front bay wall to secure accurate alignment readings. This unequalled capability permits the system to be installed in a smaller bay space and perform alignments at almost any lift height without compromising the cameras’ ability to monitor the targets.

Many configurations are available to fit the service needs of most shops.

Hunter Engineering is a world leader in wheel alignment, brake service, wheel service and safety inspection lane equipment. Hunter equipment is approved and used by vehicle manufacturers, automobile and truck dealers, tire dealers and automotive service facilities around the world.
