Shim-Select® II Promptly Displays Everything You Need To Install a Correct Shim on One Screen, Including:

Shim part number (size, color and taper)
Shim orientation angle
Mounting bolt and other cutouts
Mounting bolt torque specifications
Mounting template, in actual size and color, both on screen and when printed.

Shim Select II Screen

1. The shim brand, color, part number, bolt
torque and template identification are
shown.
2. The “Before” column shows changes
required for camber and toe correction.
3. An “After” column shows expected results
after installing the shim. The alignment
technician can judge whether the resulting
adjustment will be satisfactory before
proceeding.
4. Shim-Select® II allows the technician to
fine-tune the correction by rotating the
shim, improving either camber or toe.

5. Cutouts for bolt pattern and other
obstructions are shown.
6. Measurements can be “frozen” while
sensors are removed for shim installation.
7. Softkeys allow toggling between left and
right rear wheels.
8. Alternative brand shims can be selected
instantly to help utilize inventory on hand.
9. A paper template can be printed for cutting
shim and referenced during installation.

If necessary, alignment technicians can use screen prints to help the customer understand the need for additional parts or labor.
