The Hunter SS100 provides a quick, accurate and repeatable means of checking sideslip caused by misalignment or worn parts. High sideslip leads to rapid tire wear.
Simple to Operate
Simply coast over the tester at the rate of a slow walk. The amount of sideslip for each axle is measured independently with the results shown immediately on the console.
Alignment conditions that will result in rapid tire wear move the instrument plates. The more movement, the more tire scrub is ocurring, which shortens the life of the tire. Each axle is measured and displayed.  Test results for each axle are displayed with color-coded graphics for “pass”, “marginal” or “fail”. On this vehicle the front axle sideslip passes; the rear axle fails with excessive toe-in type wear. |
